Mobyfinder is now available, the first mobile application to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to predict, in real time, the future availability of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations. This app is transforming electric mobility by combining advanced forecasting with a personalized experience. It provides cost estimates before the charging process, vehicle-specific preferences, and optimized comparisons between stations based on accurate data and energy curves. It is the only app offering these features, it’s free, available on Google Play and Apple App Store, and developed in Portugal by DXspark, the tech group moOngy’s Center of Excellence.

Mobyfinder also stands out for its broad compatibility with Android, iOS, Android Auto & Automotive, Apple CarPlay, and Google Built-in car systems. This ensures smooth access via smartphones, in-car infotainment systems, or even directly through OEM catalogs via Appning by FORVIA — without the need for external apps.

The app’s predictive technology was developed over 10 months using Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Data Science, leveraging data on location, occupancy, charging speed, and pricing. Following a soft launch on Google Play in March and a full release on the Apple Store in July, Mobyfinder already has 400 active users.

“With the launch of Mobyfinder, electric mobility takes a significant step forward. For EV drivers, anticipating the availability and cost of charging stations in real time means convenience and a better user experience. This is another milestone for DXspark in developing digital solutions that improve everyday life for people, businesses, and society” says Ricardo Amado, CEO of DXspark.

The application was developed in Portugal by DXspark, moOngy’s Center of Excellence. Specialized in digital solutions for the automotive sector, DXspark focuses heavily on mobility and infotainment technologies. Its prediction feature was developed in collaboration with its AI Factory, a dedicated R&D unit focused on AI and Data Science.
